This is the blog of Robert S. Porter a dual Canadian/American citizen residing in Berlin, Germany. I am a student of history specializing in the financial, political and intellectual history of Canada, specifically the middle decades of the 20th century, additionally I am interested in the history Germany and Berlin, particularily architecture, urban planning and urban development from 1871 to 1933. I recently completed a B.A. (Hons.) in History with a minor in Political Science at the University of Regina. My honours thesis was entitled “The Rhetoric and Reality of Spending: An Analysis of Canadian Federal Deficit and Debt, 1975-1995″.
